The CAPS PMssa monitor provides simultaneous measurement of both particle-based total optical extinction and scattering, producing a direct measurement of the particle single scattering albedo (SSA), the ratio of scattering to total extinction. NCSR ‘Demokritos’ has installed at Finokalia station, for the PRETECT campaign, the CAPS PMssa (red) 630 nm monitor and a Relative Humidity and Temperature sensor at the PM10 inlet.
